Meditation of Morning

Step out of slumber
Into the meditation of morning
Sweet birdsong arrives on
Cool air through open windows
The Golden welcome of a new day unfolds

Every motion is the meditation
Each new breath a breath of freedom
Footsteps dent
Fresh new grass
Departing bare aching paths

The unknown
Familiar voice
Carries on a waking strand
The strand of harmony the strand of choice
Clarity

Every light is on now
Fear of darkness gone now
Butterflies of joy arrive transporting tears of pain
Comprehending
The never ending cycle of

Birth and death
And birth and death
And birth and death
And birth and death
Rebirth

Join the wind in ecstacy
Of cloudless skies
Wandering no more to
Alight upon heavens shore
The gentle lapping in and out

Let Mother nature breathe
Her great sigh of relief
Come to pass
Come to leave
Awakening is happening

Awakening is carrying
Every particle of silver light glittering
Bending blending perfectly
To sight and sound and vision
All is one part of everything
