Remembering The Wind (A Birthday Prayer)

As summer gives way and surrenders
autumn takes her hand
and steps into her place.
A rendezvous exchange
a dance a serenade
washes and escapes.

She moves
just as she needs to
to mark the start
of another end

Remembering the wind
caressing atr her skin
pushing at her back
she stands firm.
Resistance now gives way
and she learns to flow
and grow and go
where Spirit leads.

She moves

so round and round she goes
remembering the wind.

she learns to flow and go
where Spirit leads
safely in their hands
back to the seed.
