I see you could do with a helping hand
I’ve got more than I need
I’d like to offer you a place to sleep
Rest your head down a while
 
So I open my heart and my home to you
Brother sister fellow soldier fighting through
And I lay me down and carry all I can
And when you’re strong you can do the same
 
But is it human instinct going wrong
To plunder grace and fortune horde and then suffer long
Well they cannot be hearing their true song
So I say gather yourself up soldier carry on
 
Shallow is the world some choose to seek
And tenderness a weakness some believe
But when the dust is shaken from the leaf
Comes a sweetness to last eternity
 
So I open my heart and my home to you….
 
Oh carry on
