Welcome to VASH ~ Voice Activation for Self Healing
Your voice is your first instrument. VASH is an invitation to rediscover it—not to become someone else, but to reconnect with who you already are. My role is not to heal you, but to hold a safe and compassionate space where you can reconnect with your own voice and become an active participant in your own healing journey.
What is VASH?
VASH is a practice of reconnecting with our own inner instrument through conscious voice, sound, vibration and intention.
By exploring our unique voice in a safe and held space, we can bring awareness to different parts of the body, our emotions, our inner landscape and, for those who resonate with it, our energetic field and deeper states of consciousness. Rather than striving to sound a certain way, VASH invites authentic expression, curiosity and self-discovery. It is a practice of listening, feeling and allowing the voice to become a pathway back to ourselves.
How did VASH come about?
VASH emerged through my own journey of healing. Between 2024 and 2025, I took part in a clinical trial for lymphoma after returning to treatment following nine years in remission.
Alongside the medical care I was receiving, I found myself being guided more and more deeply through my lifelong practice of meditation, voice, music and trance mediumship. During this time, I experienced what I can only describe as profound spiritual guidance—gentle, consistent and deeply transformative.
Each week, for the first three months, I received an infusion as part of the clinical trial. During one of my meditations, I was given the words, "This is your Spiritual Infusion." From that moment on, I came to understand that alongside the physical medicine I was receiving, I was also receiving what I experienced as spiritual nourishment and guidance.
Through my own practice, I began exploring how conscious vocalisation, sound, and vibration could become a direct pathway to presence, healing, and self-discovery. The insights and practices that unfolded during this period became the foundation of what I now call VASH – Voice Activation for Self Healing. VASH is not intended to replace medical treatment or psychological care. It is a complementary spiritual and self-exploratory practice that supports connection with oneself through voice, sound and conscious awareness.
What happens in a VASH session?
Every VASH session, whether one-to-one or in a small group, takes place within a held and sacred space. It is an invitation into self-exploration through voice, sound, presence, deep listening and feeling.
We begin with the Merkaba Meditation, a meditation that came to me through my own spiritual practice and meditation journey. This meditation helps us to become grounded, centred and present, creating a space in which we can safely begin our voice work. The meditation is provided to participants when they book a session so that they can become familiar with it in their own time if they wish.
From there, I gently guide the participant or group through a series of chakra sounds before allowing the exploration to unfold more freely through tones, vocalisation, breath and sound. There is no expectation to sing or perform. Every voice is welcome exactly as it is.
Each session is unique. Rather than following a rigid structure, I am intuitively guided to what is needed for the individual or the group in that moment. Sometimes this may include the drum, crystal singing bowls or other instruments; at other times the voice alone is enough. My role is not to direct an outcome but to create and hold a safe, compassionate and grounded space in which you can explore your own voice and inner experience. I am guided to meet you where you are, supporting whatever wishes to emerge with gentleness, respect and without judgement.
Many people discover parts of themselves that have been hidden, silenced or held back through life experiences, conditioning or self-protection. VASH offers a space where those parts may be explored and expressed safely and authentically.
Every session closes by consciously closing the circle and allowing time to gently return to everyday awareness. There is an opportunity for brief reflection or sharing afterwards if desired, although VASH is not a counselling or psychotherapy session.
For some participants, this exploration may also open the door to intuitive vocal expression, including Light Language or other spontaneous forms of channelled sound.
How does VASH work?
VASH can be understood from both a physical and a spiritual perspective.
From a physical perspective, humming, toning, chanting and vocalisation create vibration within the body while naturally engaging the breath. Together, these can encourage relaxation and support the body's natural "rest and restore" response by engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, helping many people feel calmer, more grounded and more present.
Our own voice is unique because we experience it not only through what we hear, but also through the vibrations we feel within our body, creating a deeply personal and embodied experience of sound.
From a spiritual perspective, VASH works with the understanding that our voice carries not only sound but also intention, expression and life force.
When we combine conscious breath, sound and focused intention, we create an opportunity to become more aware of ourselves—physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Ultimately, VASH is something to be experienced rather than explained. Every person's journey is unique.
What might I experience?
Not one session is ever the same, and each person's experience is unique to them and where they are at. VASH meets you exactly where you are! Participants often describe a greater sense of:
* Connection with themselves and their own authentic voice * Freedom of expression without judgement * Relaxation and inner calm * Feeling more grounded and embodied * Emotional release and self-awareness * Increased confidence in expressing themselves and speaking their truth * Renewed energy and vitality * A deeper connection with their intuition and inner guidance * Curiosity about their own innate creativity and potential * A sense of being heard by themselves as much as by others
For many, VASH becomes an ongoing personal practice of listening inward and cultivating a deeper relationship with themselves through sound and voice.
Do I need to be a singer?
Absolutely not. In fact, one of the most common things people say to me is, "But I can't sing” or “I have a terrible voice”.
VASH is not about singing beautifully or performing for anyone else. It isn't about sounding good, getting it right or creating the "perfect" note or sound. There is no right or wrong sound.
Your voice is already enough, exactly as it is.
Sometimes your expression may be a hum, a sigh, a whisper, a tone, a laugh, a cry, a chant or a song. Sometimes it may be soft and tentative, and at other times full and powerful. Every sound has value because it is authentically yours.
As the sessions unfold, singing may naturally arise—and when it does, singing together can be a deeply joyful and uplifting experience. But there is never any expectation or pressure.
VASH is not about becoming a better singer. It is about becoming more deeply connected to yourself through your own voice.
Can VASH support the development of Light Language?
For some people, as they become more comfortable expressing themselves through sound and voice, spontaneous vocalisations may begin to emerge.
Within my own practice, this has included the channelling of Ancient /Light Language, which I experience as forms of intuitive vocal expression.
While this is not the goal of VASH, some participants who are drawn to this aspect of their spiritual path find that the practice creates a safe and supportive space in which these expressions can naturally unfold and develop.
There is never any expectation for this to happen. Every person's experience is unique, and VASH honours whatever wishes to emerge through the voice.
In essence...
VASH is not about learning to sing. It is not about performing, achieving or sounding a certain way. At its heart, VASH is an invitation to reconnect with yourself through your own voice.
Many of us have spent years silencing parts of ourselves, holding back our expression, or believing that our voice does not matter.
VASH offers permission. Permission to sound. Permission to be heard. Permission to take up space. Permission not to get it right. Permission to listen. Permission to feel. Permission to remember.
Perhaps, in its simplest form, VASH is an invitation to hear, connect with and trust your own voice again.
